SUBMISSIONS

Submissions may be made in the following categories:

  • Feature articles (typically 6000-7000 words, although we have no fixed length requirements for submissions)
  • Discussion papers (shorter essays)
  • Book reviews (see this page for more information)

In preparing an article or discussion paper for submission, please:

  • Include an article abstract of 100 words maximum
  • Include author's name and institutional affiliation with the title on a separate cover page to facilitate blind review
  • Use footnotes rather than endnotes
  • Use the author-date reference system and include a list of references
  • Follow the Chicago Manual of Style
  • Use American spellings and punctuation style

Copy Policy
Authors published in Environmental Philosophy retain the right to use their own articles in other works they may write or edit in the future. Anyone may make up to 100 print copies of any article published in the journal for any instructional, classroom, or non-commercial use without charge or prior clearance. All other forms of print or electronic distribution or republication of any part of Environmental Philosophy requires the prior permission of the journal.
